Archived CDBS database differences

This directory contains archives of daily reports showing the changes in broadcast facilities in the FCC's Common Database System (CDBS). As the FCC completed its transition to a new database, the License Management System (LMS) on 29 October 2023, the database files that this tool depended on are no longer being updated.

The following are known limitations:

• Distributed Transmission Systems were not implemented (only the first DTS site is shown).
• Not all engineering data was shown. In particular, details relevant to directional antennas (both AM and FM/TV) were omitted at least in part, in order to keep the report readable.
• Not all coded data fields were interpreted (mostly because the FCC didn't document them all).
• New amendments to existing applications were treated as completely new applications rather than being compared with the application being amended.
• Changes could be missed when the FCC altered the structure of the database exports, which they normally did in a way that broke reimport of the data by changing the ordering of the fields in the export.
